RCM has the plans available if you end up needing to scratch build, sometimes kits are either hard to come by or shall we say optimistically priced.

I bought the plans from GP but it has no rib templates. It just calls out some of the balsa stock sizes but gives no actual dimensions.
Did they send me the wrong thing? If I can get the boss to buy off on it I may just have to keep my eyes open for another complete kit and then duplicate the parts. It would be a terrible thing to have two of these<grin>.

Since the Kaos doesn't have a lot of taper, you could probably use the *stack and shape* method if you can get a root and tip template.

The plans sold thru RCM would have all the part outlines.

Mary Ann from GP left me a message today but I was too late getting home to call her back. Maybe some good news awaits!

If the wing is the same as the old 60 chaos, and if you can view .dxf CAD files, you can download plans from:

Does anyone know if there was a larger version of the Super Kaos? After getting my GP plans and doing a lot of digging my Kaos fuse is about 6 inches longer than the GP plans and mine would have a wingspan of about 62" instead of thier 58 inch plans. I know there was a Kaos 90 but I am fairly sure this isn't one of them. This plane was like a bullet with a Super Tigre 75.
Again thanks for any info.

You might have the Ultimate Kaos.

Could also be a Bridi Utter Kaos.

Dan,...

I know that the Tower Kaos's were a bit larger than the original Bridi or Great Planes Kaos's. For example,... the Bridi and Great Planes Kaos 40 had a wing span of around 52 inches. Whereas the later Tower Kaos 40 had a 55 inch wing span. I sure the same increase applied to the 60 size variant.

Is it possible you have the Tower Kaos 60??

Steve T.

I thought the Utter Kaos was a tail dragger?
Thanks, Dan

Any model can be built trike or tail dragger. I personally convert anything except scale models and jets to tail dragger if the plans show trike gear.
