Thanks to everyone who came out and flew with us. Turned out to be a great weekend with a smooth contest. The food was real good, the fellowship was plentiful and the BS was knee deep just like we like it.. Any the flying was 1st class..
Got real close to some bad weather 1 time but it missed us by a couple of miles. Never saw a single drop of rain and the wind was almost perfect. Unfortunately fate had its way and we ended up with a midair that left 1 plane in pieces and another scarcely damaged which was really odd.
Im sure Don Ramsey will have the results posted on his site soon..
The foamy fun turned out to be great too. We had a couple of great custom designs with Chuck Hochalters biplane powered by a Himax 4100 6.6:1, Matt Fritz's sized up Biplane powered with a hacker B20-15L and planetary gearbox which was the smoothest flying, most responsive and quietest foamy I have ever had my hands on. Absolutely incredibly stable in hover and can fly like a pattern plane. Todd Blaus got ahold of Chucks custom bipe and Steve Kesslers 3D Foamy Edge and took us to school on hovering and torque rolling DOD in the parking lot a La Hacienda restraunt and at the field. Now I know what torque rolling and tailtouching is supposed to look like!
Also Todd and BW Ponder put on a great display with Larry Mercers brand new Impact and showed everyone what it was capable of with a YS 140 sport. Perfection is the word that comes to mind to be honest. I made a rare good joke with my buddies at the field while Todd was flying that " I cant believe that Im actually going to be able to fly that well someday!" lol, again,,, just kidding I dont have enough years left to get that much practice in. Anyways,, I guess you had to be there..
Anyways those who missed out missed a great time and those who made it thanks for coming, hope to see you again next year!!

And a personal word of thanks to you good folks in Nederland for a lovely weekend with perfect weather. I have never seen a thunder storm literally circle around the flying field like that big one did! I want some more Boudian balls!
