Is this it? The new Futaba 14 channels?

I have heard that all the programming is based on Windows, there are 14 channels and it has a PCM 2048!!!! It uses a touch screen and it's going to be very cheap - only 3000$

I have found different info on it:
It costs 2000 Euro and also has a MP3 player and is going to come in December

Seems very nice, but I'm concerned about Windows CE... [sm=bananahead.gif]
2000 EUR price is only a reccomendation, available street price will be lower IMHO - a little more than a 9Z, probably.

Hmm,
full colour touch screen... mp3 player... all very fancy but ultimately unnecessary, battery sapping gimmicks.
What I want to know is what functionality does it have, and how easy to use is it? The 9Z software is essentially very old now (albeit with quite a few tweaks along the way) and although very powerful it is not intuitive to learn as the 9U is for instance.
Not sure I like the idea of running a windoze based OS as it is not renowned for stability. However, presumably they will have done something to address this as there would be serious safety issues (not to mention financial) in any kind of system hesitation, let alone crash.
More info required!!

That is insane......I dont know how many people would need that....I also agree that windos on a radio is not the best idea. I think it is meant to beat out the JR 10x for all the top flyers. I will be getting my JR 9303 in very soon
which sounds like it could almost beat the 9z......

Guys, it will alarm you then to learn that several full size aircraft rely on instrumentation software that comes from the very same people who bought you Windows CE!!!
A guy in the jet forum who works for an instrumentation manufacturer let us in on this 'gem' that I'll always think about now when flying

That was because your computer was only brand new and $800.00 to scream around RCU...this will be a dedicated $3000 handheld unit that plays MP3!!!!! I am sure that the instances of blue screen drop as the price goes up!!!!!!

I wonder if they have ever heard the word LINUX?

They are meant to reset the two timers. My 9Z displays S/S and RST buttons (e.g. Start/Stop and Reset) for each timer. You can also start/stop each timer using any stick or switch

I think it would be useful for someone trying to practice a routine set to music...

Tower hobbies has a "just announced" deal up for some new Futaba servos and a 9C "super" editon.
Looks like year end Futaba is coming out with a lot of new stuff.
