Default Tuned pipe for a Saito 150?

What pipe would work well on a Saito 150? I am not looking for a carbon setup just yet but want something light and quiet to start out with.

Thanks

Any of the Hatori "140" pipes from the last few years will work well. The older 693, or better the 698 or the latest 699 pipe will be ideal.

Note though that the 699 pipe requires a special header - I do not know if one is available for the Saitos. The 698 is just as good and could be fitted to the standard Saito header via the teflon coupler that comes with the pipe.

Hey thanks James I will look into the Hatori's.

I was looking into a Bolly 690r I think muffler but I guess they are no more.

I am finding out there is nothing speacial made for the Saito's. If you want costom you need to make it.

Thanks

I shouldn't think there will be anything "custom made" for the Saitos. They may make their own but it won't be any better than fitting a hatori/bolly/es etc.

Any of the 120-140 pipes will do fine. Note that with a four stroke, the pipe is not much more than a large volume muffler. The larger it is the less back-pressure you will get so it will be less restrictive and quieter.

The bolly pipes are good but are quite hard to get hold of - certainly here in the UK
