I am curious to know if anyone has built and flown these planes. I have 14 year old son that ready for a third plane, and I am considering these, with a Saito 91 or OS 61 FX. I hope to get him started in the sportsman pattern. Any thoughts or experience? Have I missed an ARF that I should look at?

Are you talking about this aircraft http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/125822.asp ? I have no clue why they call it a Kwik Fly. No way does it look like the original Kwik Fli!

I thought the Tiger had a Clark Y section, which won't make it very good for pattern.
That global kwik fly looks like the old sig kiwi from many moons ago.
Personally, the tiger is better style wise but the kwik fly may be better as a pattern trainer.

Here, from the RCM Magazine plan catalog is the Kwik Fli II by Phil Kraft.
It sure looks like the one in the Global ad.
Also I believe the Tiger 60 has a symetrical airfoil. I know the Tiger II does.
