Default Widebody 60 setup

I am looking at buying a widebody 60 and need some setup help.

Will an OS 91 four stroke give me good performance? I had originally looked at putting a super tigre 90 2 stroke for this model. I dont like underpowered models but I dont like waaaay overpowered ones either.

With this engine will standard servos be OK, I was thinking about installing Futaba s3151 with a higher torque servo for the rudder.

If standard servos are not OK, what size servos should I be looking at?

Mine was 7lbs 4oz built from the Kit. I did a couple of things to make sure was as light as possible, but nothing drastic.

A YS110 was an insane amount of power for this plane and I liked it alot. Even if it had been 8lbs it would have been fine. So, IMO, a 4 stroke 91 would be great. A 2 stoke 91 would be about the same power as the YS110...so that's OK too. I would opt for the four stroke because I like the low-end power and not having to build a mini-tunnel for the 2 stroke muffler.

I would not have used standard servos just because of the large surfaces. But, it may be OK with just a high torque on the Rudder.

I used a 1/2" wide CF strip top and bottom on the wing at the high point of the airfoil after reading of some wing failures. There is no spar or joiner, just the balsa skins joined with fiberglass and epoxy.

The WB60 really was a fanstastic flying airplane. Mine went in after a few flights due to an elevator linkage failure...

I saw a WB 60 fly today with an OS 91 2 stroke. The weight was under 7 lbs. It flew well with plenty of power.

So the engine looks to be ok. What about the servos?

Will Webra 120 pumped engine be a good match for Widebody 60? This engine is a little lighter than the YS 110 FZ, but heavier than OS 91 FX. Since the power output is a lot better than the OS, I was wondering if this engine will be a good choice?

My os 91fx witha pitts muffler is doing 10,500 rpm on a 14 x 8 and it is great power for the plane at under 7 lbs. The plane is not tail heavy and more weight in the engine would just move the battery from center to aft of the servo board.

My servos are all hi torque and seem to be just fine. I am using Hitec mini hi torque in the wings, to keep the weight down and allow a small hole in the wing foam.

I am finding that the control system is also key. Need stiffness in the surface with good centering and light weight. I am trying CF rods from Central Hobbies and while they are a bit strange to get in there, they are sure nice and light ( and low cost)
