Anybody using this set up? Or the EFI version on this mount? What is the distance between the back of the mount (where it contacts the firewall) to the face of the thrustwasher?

After reading Bob's success with this engine, I decided to try one. I installed it in a Funtana Pro (2 meter) with a Mueller header and ES 160 pipe and a perry VP30 pump. But I used a Dubro mount, too heavy to use for my competition birds.
I am running the 18x8w APC on this plane though. But I have to say this thing is SOLID. So I'm considering using this set up on my next pattern plane. it idles ridiculously low, and it transitions smoothly. Never tached it, but it pulls this 11 lb Funtana straight up vertical, out of sight rolling on high rates. That's the kind of power I'm looking for [8D]

I just ordered an ARI mount fromt Merle. I'm getting it set at 154mm, whcih he says is a few mm shorter than normal. I think he said they were normally at 6.25" or about 159mm. He did say he had some wiggle room on the ARI, but not the ARIA (aluminum) mounts.

I've got this exact setup in my Focus II. Works quite well with about 80 flights on it. I can see a slight reduction in the average charge used as compared to when I had a Webra 1.60 and a Hyde type A mount, about 15% improvement. I wasn't after the improvement in the battery capacity usage, just wanted a reliable engine and ended up getting improvements in both areas.
