A different pattern model

I came across this on the laser site. Its a break from the normal composite pattern models out there, and therefore I think, might be cheaper. It obviously has 'strong visual ties' with another famous pattern model. (Even down to the colour scheme!)
I think that it will be great for those on a budget, as if it is cheap, not only would they be able to build it easily due to the wooden construction, but they could also get to fly a 2m model. If they wanted something better, they could still compete with this untill they can afford another kit, and just transfer all the gear.
So, what do you think?
Robert.

Its called the Tojeiro, and made by Laser Models in Belgium. From what I have heard, Laser models has quite a good reputation, with excellent wood and cutting.

Robert,
Do you know if Tower Hobbies will import this kit? I really like the lines, because like you said, they are similar to a famous model that happens to be my favorite. Thanks for digging that up.

I don't see it on Tower's site yet
but I'm ready to find it any way I can. Really like their kits (Laser 3D) and look forward to this one. Have you seen their other new one, the X-Tra (no relation to THE Extra)? Another F3A like model by Dennis van der Toorren (Dutch).

Dennis is the Dutch nr1 flyer. He runs one of the best shops here in The Netherlands and has his competition model available as a kit in two sizes.
The smaller one will also be kitted by Laser models.

Its not as cheap as I would have thought, 640 Euro. It comes with all accesories, except engine mount, and is not currently available. ( I forgot when it will, but pretty soon.) And lastly, their distributer over in the states is Great Planes. I think its a bit expensive really, seeming as the Funtana is basically the same, bigger, but the same weight, and 300 Euro cheaper. However, Laser Models have that 'assemble without glue or knife reputation', which is a bit different to the Funtana. It also has a wooden pipe tunnel. (I couldn't see in the photo.)
I would probably recommend the Composite models for that price.

What's 640 Euro, the Tojeiro or the X-Tra (or both)? 640 Euro seems kinda pricey for a kit, esp when you can get something like a Focus for $595 and that's ARC! I still like the looks of the Tojeiro and havent found much by way of searches on the net.
