I just purchased a zen 90 great looking kit my problem is seleting an engine. i am leaning towards the ys 110. i was wondering would the long quiet muffler with a flex tube and a 90 degree header made by mac work if the engine is mounted inverted.
If i went for the two stroke os or supertiger 91 mounted inverted i was wondering if any one knows where can i purchase a header which would work in this situation if i were to use a tuned pipe mounted inside the belly pan.
does any body make a swan shaped header for a two stroke 90 size.
thanks

You are in Canada,
I believe YS 110 should be good with Zen. I am just not sure about the Macs products' header parts since I have not tried. I am using Hatori header available from Central Hobbies, RadioSouth etc. No idea where you can find in Canada.
Central hobbies also has new NMP header for YS 91~ 160. I will probably get one to try out.
For a 2-stroke engine, Send an E-mail to Karl Mueller ([email protected]). He makes great wrap-around headers for side exhaust engines for rear exhaust applications. I am using one of his header with 91Fx in a JR Propo Explorer 90.
Good luck.

i have already emailed about the header. how much did you pay for the header?? i am in vancouver canada but i have access to central hobbies and i have a friend who ownes a hobbyshop so i get great prices on products. i am getting the ys 110 for $280 us.
also how much clearance do you need in the side of the cowl for this 2 stroke wrap around header to fit .
thanks zain

I think I paid around $45.00 shipped to US (Idaho).
YS 110 at $280 is very good price. I just wish I could get one at that price.[:@]
The header that I use in the Explorer does not bind to the side of fuselage. It all depends on the width of the fuselage, but the curve of Karl's header is pretty narrow for current Pattern planes. I don't think you will have to cut the Zen 90's engine bay to install it, but not sure.
I will try to measure the header tomorrow and post here.
