The Lazulite is the evolution of the Smaragd. Basically the canopy was moved forward and the fuselage is taller. Wolfgang Matt is very consistend in following a clear evolution path plane after plan. The "new style" line goes like this: joker - saphir I & II - opal I & II- rubin - diamant - larimar - smaragd - lazulite - onyx. You could literally see how relatively small variations were introduced in each iteration of the design (the "older line" was based on the arrow - atlas design)
PL Prod (now PLFConcept) kitted the planes starting from the Larimar. PL also kitted the Partner but I understand QuiQue designed it (along with the freestyle variation "Fiesta") They have another series based on the older "Tornado" design, which in turn evolved into the Cyclone and the Flashdance (freestyle version)
Coming back to your question, I (just) guess the Partner is a distant cousin to the Smaragd and not the Lazulite (which by the way showed up later than the Partner)
You can see the planes by yourself at www.matt-rc.li (click on "Deutsch" and the "Modelle") and at www.plfconcept.com
