Default pattern in pa

I live near pittsburgh pa are there any pattern comp near me or clubs that fly pattern? and anybody that would mind helping a new guy that wants to get into pattern thanks

I live in Bever Falls and am going to a pattern primer in Ravenswood WV this Saturday.....not many pattern guys in western PA but there are a couple. Shoot me an e-mail at pcosky@comcast dot net.

There is a group about 3.5 hrs about 200 miles from you in Hamburg,NY near Buffalo. Contact Marty Moleski on the NSRCA website (nsrca.org). He is listed as one of the webmasters. They have a contest there the weekend of 7/9-7/10. Here are some other contests within 6 hrs of Beavers Falls, PA. Check the NSRCA website for more details.

Sayre,Pa - 8/6-8/7 (315 mi, 6 hrs)
Marshalls Creek, PA - 6/25-6/26 (Delaware Water Gap) (342 miles, 6hrs) I am Co-CD.
Arcola, VA - dates ?? Contact Don Szczur. (272 miles, 5.33 hrs)
Quincy, OH - 8/13 (250 miles, 5 hrs)

There is also a contest weekend of 6/11 in Muncie(AMA site). About 6.5 hrs

Distance and time appproximate using Street Atlas USA.

The closest are all D4 from Beaver Falls except the one by Buffalo. I'm going to actually try to make some meets this year. Waynedawg live right up the road from my father-in-law (also an R/C guy)...we'll get him hooked.

Thanks guys !!!!! pattern is something ive always wanted to do since i was a kid i cant wait to get going. heres a question a freind of mine gave me this plane and cant remember what it is does anyone here know? does anyone still fly the older pattern ships like dirty birdy or curares?
