Default Glow Engine Vs. Electric Engine for 2 m’ pattern plane

For my next pattern plane project I’m wondering what will be the best, glow engine vs. electric engine?
In my previous planes I used YS 140DZ, Electric will be new for me. I have no experience with the new electric pattern technology, engine, batteries, and prop’s at all.

Thanks
Aviram

look aviram, I don´t now too much about that tecnology, in fact, i´m just starting with pattern , but what do I now is that you have to be really carefull with the new Li-Pol batteries. I´ve heard and seen some airplanes that burned into fire and could do nothing but cry for your airplane´s death,
My intention is not to frighten you, but warn about this undesearable accident
sorry for the english

If the power drawn by the motor exceeds the battery's SAFE discharge rate, they can overheat and possibly ignite. The fires are VERY hard to extinguish! Cooling ducts are essential to cool the battery packs in flight.

now here's the other thing........smoke trail. You won't have one.......could be good or bad depending.

Good if your line is horrible and you might slip one by the judges.

Bad is your line is perfect since no smoke and the judges won't see the line as clearly.

And right now the cost of Batts is high.

I'm thinking about 1 more year and the price will be good.
