If you want to build a kit, the MK Topstar 1.10 or Skystar .90 are excellent, modern choices. Designed around the YS 91/1.10, but please do NOT use the MK soft mount. The kits are about $300
In an ARF a notch ahead in quality compared to the others, look at Planes Plus Dream 1.10. Very light, beautiful workmanship, again designed for the YS 1.10. The cost is about $450
One thing to consider (and I know as I went the MK Skystar route) is that for what you will spend outfitting either of these two, you can have a 2 meter Focus with an OS 1.60 for the same or less money. The Focus does fly very well, personally I do not care for the looks...but they fly well and the price is now below $400 for an ARC.
In either case get either digital or at least coreless double BB servos from either JR or Futaba- makes a big difference. There were some outstanding articles recently on control system setup in the K-Factor (NSRCA publication)- worth a look.
Good luck- let us know what you wind up with.

If money is truly no object I like our Austar-Z110. The web sit sez the completely painted airframe weighs 1700g but mine was actually 1591g! You could add the gear and still not quite be at 1700g.
If you want to see what I am talking about you can see it here: http://www.oxai.us/Models-Austar.htm
It is expensive. Almost $1700. But, if you want a built up airplane with CF pipe tunnel, and canopy with glass engine bay that is built to the Japanese standards this is the plane for you. Oxai builds them for Mr. Naurke to sell in Japan to pattern guys who fly the lower classes.
