Put a post up about warped elevator halves.. as applied to the recent Focus II kit I received..
I spent several hours this weekend making 2 new elevator halves, as Piedmont told me this model was a close out sale and to try to re-warp the one I have - if this did not work they (lee) may be able to figure something out. After dealing with Ultra-RC, Brian, this lack of support here was a surprise to me. After looking at my Focus, there is nothing broken (have a friend who has 2 Focus models, both arrive damaged - one exchanged) but the sanding quality and straight surfaces is lacking big time. I'm sure the model would fly like it was shipped to me, but it would be very difficult to place in competition. Not sure I'll send Piedmont more of my money. I will spend much time reworking / re-sanding many things on the model.. and have not looked close at the wings yet.
My model will be electric also using Hacker products.
