Can anyone tell me what is up with Gator rc. I put an order through to them back in July however I havent not recieved the good yet. ( hasnt gone through my CC yet either). I have sent several email but no reply where as normally you get a reply by the next day at the latest. So does anyone know if something is wrong with the folks?

Gator occassionally disapears for periods,but they always come back. Frustrating;I know from experience with my LHS where I place my order for Gator supplies.

What did you order? Gator does some cottage industry subcontracting for fabrication and sometimes it takes a little bit to fill up the pipeline...

I realize they are a "cottage industry" but they do not answer their phone,or reply to e-mails as previously stated. Also,I deal occassionally with other hobby suppliers,and they tell me the same thing.
So I order well in advance,months usually,and at present I am not in a bind for anything. I expect that after the Holiday they will be back in form.

Dave P.S. I also recall hearing that their house was struck by lightening some time ago,resulting in a complete loss from fire. I do not know if they have been up and running since then.

I ordered some plans ( Typhoon 2000, and the the Extra). A Fascination canopy and a couple of Gator Tongues.

Nothing too spectacular, Would be nice if I knew what was happening.

I have ordered from them and it's sometimes a few days of phone tag before you can get a live person. When I have left phone messages, Diana always returned my call within a day or so. They are a part -time cottage company but have lots of good stuff. The fire was over a year ago as I remember, but they should have what you want by now.

called Gator today for first time ordered some mk retracts, Diana answer on 3rd ring took my order quick, said they would go out this Monday - should I worry? maybe cancel the order?

In a word NO!

I've ordered from them repeatedly and NEVER had a problem-----particularly when Diana gave me a shipping date.

I read a lot of bad press on these forums------my experience varies from those complaints. That includes more than just Gator. ------hard to figure why I have no problems and others say they do-----I'm a long way from new in this Hobby!

Frankly I'll go with MY experience-------I know for certain what that is.
