I'm in the middle of rebuilding a Cyclone that was given to me and wanted to know how much paint i should put on it to finish it off?

It is glass coverd balsa and i have started to add primer to the airframe.

Should the final colours be just dust coats,enought to see the colour or abit heaver so it stands out more?Also should i add a clear coat to the finished plane as id like it to look glossy.

Ive been told that paint adds alot of weight but i dont want a sad looking plane eigther.Any advice?

Depends on the type of paint, epoxy type paint tends to be heavy, sand all the primer off untill the weave of the glass cloth is filled, Ive had good luck with automotive laquer in spay cans
