I bought this fiberglass fuselage at a swap meet last year along with a Tiporare fuselage, but I don't recognize it and can't quite make a match looking at pictures of Curare-era pattern planes. Does anyone what plane this is? Thanks in advance.

That is a replacement fiberglass fuselage for a Dash 5 which was an all wood Yoshioka kit. There were only a few fiberglass ones made, and it was the late 1980's. There is a fiberglass canopy and belly pan that went w/ that fuselage. It was not a factory item., but a mold made from an existing wood fuse. I did know where the mold was about10-15 yrs ago, but I have no idea today.

Thank you very much for the info. I never would have found that data. Wow - that was an obscure fuselage; an aftermarket fiberglass mold based on a Yoshioka Dash 5. I bought a Tiporare fuselage from the same person as part of the buy at the swap meet. The Tip was easy to recognize - I crashed mine back in 1993 and have been wanting to put together a new one ever since. This other fuselage came with the deal so I figured to do something with it. I cut some foam cores for the wings and stabs for both planes and will probably end up selling the Dash 5 short-kit.
Thank you again for the help.
