Default ICEPOINT Question

I just bought an Icepoint and I will power it with the YS 1.40 sport. The ARF comes with a horizontal wood engine mount already installed. This presents a problem if I decide to use an anti- vibration type mount (Hyde, Budd etc.) If I remove the wood mount it will weaken the engine area more than I like. Has anyone else come up with a good solution?

Default RE: ICEPOINT Question

There are multiple solutions. I routed it out and put in an engine mounting plate for a Hyde A mount. Alot of work, but it came out real clean. There's quite a long Icepoint discussion thread starting at

Worth a look for different solutions to this and other questions, like, say, how about the hatch mount? Saw some good ways to handle that too.
