I'm working on leverage my flying skills on pattern aerobatics and I think I'm going well but: what technique do you use for practising besides of flying flying flying flying flying flying? How do you take most advantage of each flight?

Absolutely the most important thing for pattern flight is learning to fly true straight and level at a constant distance and altitude. Every spring, the first thing I do is go out and fly back and forth, flight after flight with a turn around on each end. Working to stay at 150m roughly at a constant altitude. This also goes along with learning to fly with the wings truly level. What appears level may not be exactly level when someone is actually out at that distance watching. This requires another person out in the field watching and two radios help. Every maneuver starts and ends with straight level flight. There is nothing more important in the course of a flight. Once you get this down then you can begin to work on maneuvers. This is very time consuming and frustrating at times, but once you get it right it will help you through EVERY class of pattern.

guille, hi, im from argentina too, and as you im trying to increase my flying skills in pattern,

what RCpattern said was excelent, always practise one manouver per day, it didnt result for me practising 2 or 3 manouvers in one day, just pick one, and repeat it again and again for 2 or three weeks ,and the results will be excelent, if you have someone near you to help seeing the geometry, better
yes sometimes some sessions can be frustrating , but dont be desapointed, results came with practice and time, ( im still waiting for them!!!! )

also before going to the field, i "fly" the airplane at home, memorize every step, and see the flight in your mind, make it sistematic, and you wont improvise at the flying field

straight and level, THE MOST IMPORTANT

good luck, despite im not an expert, i hope this can help you

Practice with an experience caller, have him put everyhing down on paper and discuss it with you after each flight

To train pattern flying is very tough.....especially the toughest manoveur of all is the straight line........not many people can fly straight lines........The most effective way of training is what i called the 5 man aerobatic training team. two man will stand at the end of the 'flight box' as known in F3A flying. they will tell u your flight line and whether your turnaround manevour has go out of the box or not.......it is a very important basic skill to fly the entire training flight in the box as flying out of the box is severe downgrade in F3A flying.......Then the caller as usual will tell u what to do for ur flight........then the last person in the team will be like a judge and score each of the manevour u had flown.....when the pilot has finish its flight.....everyone will gather and summarise their finding to the pilot.........this is how i actually train before for any F3A compeition.
