Default Duplicolor Paints

Has any body used the Duplicolor paints to paint a fuse before? What were the results? How fuel proof is it If at all? In case you haven't seen the Duplicolor paints they are the auto body touch up paints that are sold at various outlets. They have several colors to choose from.

i have used them , easy to find same color as film, but .. not fuelproof!
i sparyed a clear car paint (2 component) at the top!
the duplicolor is ok to work with dry in minutes and lots off colors!

I am using the Duplicolor High Build Primer on my current TF Spitfire project. This is my first glass and paint job, so I can't compare it to other choices, but so far, I am pleased with the results. I haven't yet decided on what I'll use for the color coat, but being a (semi) scale plane, it won't be the Duplicolor. Currently I'm leaning towards latex and a fuel proof clear top coat.

I went looking for filler primer and noticed all the colors. Some very close to monoKote. I figures it's not fuel proof.[]

I can't believe Duplicolor don't carry Olive Drab

I may get a can and try it on some scrap. I think you need the hardner in it to make it fuel proof.

hi
this is with dupli color and a acrylic clearcoat on the top( this is a 2 comp. car paint)
I'm not happy with the the Twister scheme on the fuse so this is going to be re painted later in the spring , but even with spray cans you can get pretty good results , I have a good paint dealer and he can mix any thing and fill it on a spray can even 2 comp if i want that and the base color if i dont get a match to the film, but for the top clear coat i use spraygun.
