Greetings,
Apologies for what may be a silly question but I wanted to get a second opinion. I've got an electric Brio 10 that I've been flying as an electric but thanks to an aft CG, to much elevator, and low altidude it will need some minor repairs.
I've been thinking of converting it to a glow model and now may be a good time to do just that. It seems a little small for a .10 so I'm looking at an Magnum .15 XL, OS .25 FX, or a Magnum .28. I'm interested in haveing a sport pattern plane small enough to throw in the trunk and I'm not interested in putting much more money into this. The plane weighs in at 27 oz without betteries and electric motor so any of the above engines will put the total weight somewhere between 35oz and 40oz dry.
Do you guys believe this will be to heavy or will be doable with the above engines? Or, do you have any other recomendations for a 25ish size pattern plane? I've been looking at the Venus 40 ARF which is a little bigger than I want but I could be talked into it.
Best Regards,

If it was me I wouldn't convert it.This plane is built very lite. The additional vibration of a glow engine will cause you more headaches the it is worth. As for a alternative plane I can't really help you there.Good luck, stefanP
