Default Hoffman Estates contest

Like to thank Frank Del Giudice and Bill Gregg for a great contest even though it was weather challenged, 35 MPh gust quartered and 25 substained winds on Saturday, and on and off rains and less winds on Sunday.
Great party and crib at Robby Satalino's house and the elevator door doesn't go to a dungen, LOL.
Thank all the lady's for the fine food.
I have been to this out of district contest twice and always a great time.
For me Saturday was just to much wind for a new electric plane so I desided to fly the Brio 10 instead of the Smaracea (Panacea fuse, Smaragd wing and stab) I think now it would have done fine.

I'm sorry i missed it. Just did'nt feel right about dragging a 40 size plane with me. Well i'm leaving today for Indiana. Dang lawnmower races at 12 Mile. Hopefully someone else is going to drive for me this year.

So Steve what were the results?

Thanks to all that attended our contest especially the out of towners who braved the lousy traffic conditions coming to Chicago due to construction everywhere.
Does anyone think that having the contest on a holiday weekend hampers our participation numbers? I know that its always a conflict with me and family obligations. Just wondered what others thought. We only had 19 fliers and that was a little disappointing.

Mike it was on my must attend plans. Just losing the Focus and the Ys being balky on the spitter left me with only a forty size airplane left to fly. Otherwise i would have been there. Can't beat the Saturday night food fest. probably be worth the thirty buck entry fee in itself.
