Default Flat fuselage?

I have old wings and elevator from my Atlantis and I decided to build some 3D airplane from this old parts. I want to build flat fuselage similar to Chip Hyde's Tunnel Vision. Can somebody tell me how is the fuselage constructed? I want to build it from foam sheeted with balsa, do you think that it is good idea?

Yes, balsa over foam is a good idea and works well. Look at the OMP Fusion construction manual for how they did it:

Just click on the manual button and it will open for you to look at. Also look at the 47" Yak-54 they do with the same fuse construction.
