What type of glue and applicator are you guys using inside the
composite planes.... I see a lot of nice glue beads in pictures
like this one.
Thank you

From: Fort Scott, KS,
I use a mixture of laminating epoxy resin and thixotropic silica. Mix the two together to a consistency of vaseline and wipe in with a gloved finger or a stick with a small radius on the end.

Hmm. That landing gear plate looks familiar. Oh, its mine :-) Epoxy and microballoons, smoothed with a finger dipped in alcohol. On high stress areas, I cover the fillet with a layer of 2oz fiberglass while the epoxy is still wet. Sand lightly when cured.

When you glue to the fiberglass fuse, I have not seen anything work better than BVM Aeropoxy which is a Locktite Hysol industrial epoxy. I have literally never seen a glue joint fail. The other ways also work fine, but nothing holds up better than the Aeropoxy. Check out the jet foums and they all use it on the composite fuses. Even my recent... ahem....."crash" destroyed the fuse but every Aeropoxy glue joint was still intact. (and no I don't get any free glue from BVM)
