A day at Dixie - Shinden pics

Well, I just got back into pattern (and R/C flying in general) about a month ago, and I'm about to join one of the clubs that really got me fired up about pattern to begin with. I had the pleasure of flying with Bryan Hebert today, along with receiving a little (well, a lot) of advice and by the end of the day he had me flying a decent-looking Intermediate pattern. Anyway, on to the reason I'm posting. Bryan made a comment about some people wanting him to post pictures of his latest design, the Shinden, on here. Well, I snapped a couple of pics and here they are. He's done some really slick-looking things around the engine for ventilation and it is an excellent flying airplane. I'll be out there again next week and I'll get some close-ups to show you what I'm talking about. To look at it you wouldn't know the nose of this ship was snapped off in a crash!

Jari,
Thanks, man. Microzzzoft worked on it. Maybe I'll just offer my services to Bryan since That's one of the things I do fir a living. Make it work with better browsers.

The Shinden will be distributed through BVM Props. I'll ask Bryan when I see him next weekend when they're supposed to be available.

That would be "In early September, Bryan told me the planes will be ready by the end of November"
Have I got that right, Troy?

Hi Greg
I have the plans almost complete at the moment, the wings stab rudder etc are done. most of the fuse is done. The important fact here is that Bvmwill sell the full composite one, where mine will be a wood version like the ones at the top of this post. Im just waiting to get a set of canopy and cowl from Bryan to make my own molds off. So in the short yes
Thanks

I saw the first Shinden out of the mold from Extreme Composite at the CAOCC in Japan and it looks great. Strong, light and great finish. I did not see it fly though. It should fly great and looks to me that it will be the best value pattern ARF out there when it comes out. I believe it will be worth waiting for.
