Hi,
Does anyone here have an opinion about this plane (Integral) and when about will be available? Price is around 1000 euro, is the plane painted at this price or not?
Looking forward to replies,
Nick

From what I have heard the plane will be painted in the mold. It has a 2 piece wing and stab. It's supposed to be available around the 1st of the year. The price here in the states is supposed to be around $1300. It's pretty much been my experience that the announced dates for delivery and the actual dates on most pattern planes vary greatly so I would be surprized if they were out by the 1st of 2007. I hope that I'm wrong. Mike

Hello Nick
I had a discussion with pascal Nowik of ZN about this pattern.
He told me there 'll have two coloured versions (steph Carrier 's design and a compositeArf design) and a white version. 1000 E is steph carrier's design.

Thank you Claude! It seems to be a French/Belgium design I guess but painting and composite work will be done by CompARF. Right?
When about will be available? Is there any waiting list?
Has the prototype been flown? Any comments?
Is the plane intended for electric use or glow? I have the YS-160 DZ in mind that's why asking.
Regards,
Nick

Hello Nick
Yes it's a design made by ZN and familly Carrier. There will have two kind of Integral : ZN Integral and CArf Integral. Not the same except design.
ZN sells classic kit in Kevlar carbon fuse and balsa foam wings. CompositeArf version will be made totally by CompositeArf with their own knowledge.
Nowik told me he wants to test it before selling. So it will be available in 2007, not before.

The design of this plane looks really good. I can't wait to see one up close. My hope is that Composite ARF and ZN can produce this plane light, strong and durable, because the price isn't that bad at all. With Comp ARF's distributorship in the US, and in place support, this could be a really good, solid pattern plane!

I just can't seem to get a grip on this design from the pictures I've seen.
It just doesn't seen to look right. Compared to the Zeque-Beryll it appears stone aged and even compared to ZN own Euro designed Oxalys-Twister.. it just looks, well.... plain.
Doesn't seem to take design any where... kinda just takes it one step to the side.
How does it fly compared to all the others? Just as well? Similar one would guess... so whats the USP? Why such a dull looker?
Why not stick with an Oxalys or a Twister? Or design something that flies almost as good, yet's looka like a million bucks.
I can't see where this model takes anyone other than offering the mass market another "samey" Euro flyer.
Is that what the mass US market needs? I don't think so.
It'll sell well then.

I have pics of the Twister,Oxalys, and the Integral. To me they all look very similar. So I'd have to say to you Bla Bla that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Also for what it's worth availability of pattern planes is much better in Europe and Asia than it is here in the US. We don't even have a distributor for ZNline planes. Mike

I think that the Integral looks a bit archaic to some compared to the Beryll, Twister, etc, is because it's not as radical of designs as the aforementioned airframes used as a comparison. The Twister is freakin' huge, and the Beryll has a totally different design philosophy than what has been seen before. I don't see any real disadvantage to having an airframe like the Integral as opposed to the ultra-super-makes-a-widebody-look-small types that have been emerging as of late.

I heard there was a ZN Line dealer in Canada.
Does anyone now who it is? If so do they have a web site?
I am liking the Twister and would like to get one if one is available.

No dealer anywhere in North America, we just bring in a lot of kits at once to minimize shipping etc.
They can be easily ordered straight from ZN although shipping for one kit is fairly costly, around $300 or so by air. If you can get 4 guys together for an order then it reduces a fair bit.

Wing and stab sections look a fair bit different in thickness.
One has a red spinner and the other is white
Also the Integral has a conventional power source (prop) and the Zeque has some new high tech propless drive system, obviously superior as it has zero torque effect on the model.
Those are just a few obvious ones, I am sure there are many more!

Just curious, but what major design differences am I missing between these 2?

Hello CHV69
There is a wood version (original version before Oxai).
You can order on Starcraft by sending mail to Hiro.

To me, both these planes look like a Black Magic!
Um... well on second thought, maybe not... But I do like Chad's observation on the torque-less propulsion system. I need one of those!

Hello Rune
It is not the Addiction.
It's the real wood Zeque but only in version built with price about 2300 dollars.
Zeque is not build by Hiro but he knows the dealer in japan http://www1.odn.ne.jp/~chm30860/index.html

I see a significant difference in wing and stab, the heart of any pattern model. Root to tip ratio of the Zegue looks to be around 2.5:1 vs around 2:1, which moves the AC of the wing closer to the root. Should behave better in windy conditions. Zeguw appears to have thinner sections which may mean faster flight speed and could be a bit of handful for constant speed. The shape of Zegue fuse from the side view may be slightly nicer lined but thats a minor point. The ventral subfin of the Zegue could mean better picth couple character in knife flight
Wing position relative to stab relative to thrust line appears a bit different. Hard to tell but the angle shown, the Zegue appears to have little dihedral as it should for no roll couple...the Integral seems to have very similar dihedral, but with a lower wing position, there may be some roll couple.
I would love to hear the flight report Jason. Stop answering all these emails and get to work. (LOL)
