Hi all,
I'm taking my first step into F3A by buying a pattern model for my YS110.
I've been looking at the Synergy 90 and the X-Tech (Fliton) Infinity 90.
What are your opinions on these and do you have any other suggestions of models I should consider?
BTW, I'd probably err more towards the AA side, rather than all out F3A.
Cheers.

Oh,
ARF only.

Try in the main Pattern forum, there should be no shortage of help there. Before you post, do a search on YS110 and you will likely find the answer to your question in the results. It has definitely been discussed many times before.

Thanks guys,
I've had a look on World Models web site and couldn't find a " Tie-Ji ".
RC Pattern Flyer - Have you had any issues with the engine mount on the Infinity?
Cheers.

I have only gotten to fly one, not own one.. but, i would put in an anti-vibration mount (hyde or budd) just to ease the pain on the airframe.
good Luck.
Chuck
and i think it was Tai Ji for world models.

You can't fit a standard / Hyde mount, it has a built in wooden mount like the Sig Rascal 40.
Still can't find Tai Ji on the World Models site, do you have a link.
Cheers.

The X-Tech Infinity comes with a soft mount and all ball raced hardware, you may want to slightly reinforce some of the wooden parts at the front as they can come loose. This is one of the models I'm flying at the moment and it is very good, highly recommended especially for the price.

Would you reinforce with triangle stock or epoxy with micro balloons?
Cheers.

I've put some triangle where the braces meet the firewall and I've also had to strengthen the diagonal braces as these broke after some flying with an OS 120

The guy I spoke to said he thought they had one left and that he could get it to me for Thursday.
But if they didn't, I would not have to wait long, because the next batch were due to arrive imminently.
(2 weeks I suppose.)
Oh well, I've got to order all the radio gear for it yet anyway.
