Hi earl
YS said that FZ110 was sent in about spring.
Presume the following specifications.
A price in Japan : 51,000en ($1=120en)
displacement 18cc
bore 30.4mm
stroke 24.8mm
weight 728g
At present, only the people concerned of YS obtained it, and a flight impression was said from them. There are many airplanes of about 4kg at present for the FZ90 motor. There are many people who complain to the power a little in this weight. FZ110 can be exchanged easily because an appearance dimension is the same as FZ90.
All the people concerned who used this said that this power was wonderful.

Just doing a little math.. . . .
YS .91 $275.00 US
YS 1.10 $425.00 US (154% increase)
YS .91 Horsepower: 2.0 HP
YS .1.10 Horsepower: 3.09 HP (Calculated 154% increase)
:-)
I think I better start reinforcing my poor Jekyll's firewall!!

Based on what I heard about the YS 110FZ.
the engine turn about 500 rpm more with same prop and fuel used on YS 91FZ.
Keith,
How are you doing?
You don't have to worry about the price on YS110.
I am sure that when it becomes available here in the US, the Famed Central Hobbies will have the lowest price available to all of us.
If the actual cost to get the engine from Japan will be around $450 because of tax and other fees.
I still don't have any answer from the hobby shop in Japan for the availability of the engine. Last time I heard was last November, but it became end of this month or early next month for Japanese store.
So, I am going to try my TT120 rear exhaust before getting the YS110.

Ihncheol,
I was just being a smart-aleck about the price, I'm sure when they're imported they will be much cheaper. Let's just hope the my horsepower calculations are right on!! :-)
Personally, I think my YS .91 is going to be the last YS engine I own. Too many moving parts and maintenance headaches.
How is the Hanno treating you??

Keith,
I just wish it could happen that way for the power output.
It's like buying a 140.
Have anyone thought of using YS 91ST? :stupid:
I am trying to find the price and availability for this engine in US, but have not found yet.
It is lighter by 210gram and should be able to turn a similar size prop with 91AC/FZs.
Since I am only going to use this engine to use on 3D plane and the headers can be custom built by Karl Mueller, I think it is a very good alternative.
YS Performance has the conversion kit for drive washer etc to use this heli engine in plane.
If the price is about the same with 91 4-stroke, I will get one of this instead of 110.
By the way, the Hanno is still in a box. I just got a Hatori 650 last month to use with Hanno. However, I don't have a plane for the engine yet. All my planes are new in box for 90 size or 50 size and smaller. I have nothing for 60. I am sure I will at least find a plane for the hanno or scratch build one, but that is after I solve my BeatOn problem on using a larger 2-stroke engine.
