Hi folks,
I'd like to know if someone has informations about Quique new design or Quique's plane for the next World Champ in Argentina ....
If he'll use a new plane, I'm very impatient to see it ...
Does someone Know if quique will be in USA team or in Argentina team ?...
Have a nice flights

I believe he will be part of the USA team if he gets selected base on the results in the next Nats (F3A). Also, he has to be US resident to be in the US team. I think he meets this requirement but I am not 100% sure now. He has won the Nats in the last few years so should no be difficult for him to make the team.
In any event, I wish him the best.

I live in France,
But I really like that Quique won the world champ this year.
I stop F3A because of my job (I fly planes with people in) but I remember a summer when I was reading my dad's RC magazine and discover (through magazine only) M. Quique Somenzini.
I like the phylosophy of the guy, 93 he try something incredible at the world champ with the Desafio S ... finaly judges were not be ready for this type of flights ...
I wish him a very good luck for the worlds ... May the force be with him

Correct me if I'm wrong !
The exhaust were at th wing tips strange effects during rolls
I think , he was also flying very very slow compare to the other one, using a huge bolly prop
Judges didn't like

Was it the Desafio S or the Tango S? YS 120 SC, bolly 17,5 x 12 (later changed to 16 or 15 x 12 due to noise problems), exhaust at the wingtips routed from the engine to the one piece wing, and some funky carbon fiber carburetor muffler/air filter. I have a (paper) picture somewhere from an european magazine of that time, I will try to scan and post it later....

I think Jason Shulman will have a suprise for Quique this year,
he will be more prepaired than I have ever known him to be,
with a good New airplane and his brother helping ,He will be a strong favorite at the masters and the worlds.
not to take anything from Quique of course,,
we all know Quique will make the team But it will be a close fight,
and After seeing Christophe and his brother fly ,, they better be prepaired ,,because,
Christophe is the new and improved Hanno Prettner
But even Hanno did lose eventually

You're right,
I spoke about 1993 world champs wins by the best of the best, the legendary Hanno Prettner ....
quique flew very very slowly with smoke on the wings ... for me (I was a kid) it was wonderfull ....
As you can see, in France you can find a legendary chauvinism .....
I trully hope that quique wins the next World champ this year in Argentina .....
I'm French but not a great fan of CPLR

CPLR is a great champion of course but not the new Hanno Prettner .... Hanno Prettner is a legend .... No one will be abble to reach him ....

Hi Marc
I saw in site Modelltechnik lorenz a news regarding Quiqué.
His new plane Oxai will be a biplane named EUPHORLA
http://www.f3alorenz.homepage.t-onli.../body-oxai.htm
"Euphorala
Eine Konstruktion von
Quique Somenzini
F3A Doppeldecker
Spw.: 1820 mm
mehr Informationen
ab Oktober 2007 "
But I don't know if he 'll use her in WC Argentina !
