hobbico spectrum

i bought this patern plane from my local hobby shop. and was wondering what its worth or how old it is.
its a hobbico spectrum. anyone know anything about it?

Hello!
It is a good flying plane, HOBBICO start selling that plane in November 1999 and they stop selling it in 2004 aprox. A couple of friends used to fly tha SPECTRUM and it really flies very well!!!.
I recomend you fly the plane.

I flew one of these a few years back, and it flew nicely right up to the point where the stabs ripped off in s&l flight. The plane was almost new and had been built by a very experienced guy, trouble is being one of the first of the modern ARTFs no-one really knew where the inherent weaknesses in artfs were (like - the tail structure, u/c plates etc).
Strongly suggest that you at least check under the covering at the back and if necessary add some 1/32 ply doublers around the tail. Other than that it seemed to be a good plane!
