I am running an OS 140 RX with an KM header and AS tuned pipe. If you have this setup what it is?
Header length?
Prop?
What RPM are you getting?
I seem to be down on power but I need a benchmark for comparisions.

Not sure about the combo you are running, but the recommended header pipe length for the 140 RX is 240mm plus 5mm for the gap between the header and the pipe. providing the pipe is suited to the 140 this should be a good starting point to tune the engine. Remember also that pipe length can vary depending on Nitro content plug used and conditions of the general atmopheric conditions namely humidity and temperature. But the 140 is not particularly sensative to setup on the pipe. Maximum power output RPM is between 7300 to 7600 RPM. If you find that you cant acheive these RPM`s then try moving the pipe back. ie pull the pipe away from the header 10mm if no change try another 10mm, if still no change try cutting 10mm of the header and moving the pipe toward the engine. If their is some gain then try another 10mm of the header. keep doing this until you find the peak RPM.
If this is all to hard go and invest in the O.S. T-6010 genuine pipe. I use one of these and they pretty much tune the engine perfectly straight out of the box. I run an APC 17 x 12 @ 7800 RPM on this pipe and find the pipe is relatively insensative to setup.
Straight lines and happy flying
