Default Old Time Pattern

Is Old Time Pattern a recognized event, and what are the requirements as to plane and engine, and what maneuvers are required? I am a genuine Old Timer(!) and would like to get into a form of pattern again. Thanks for your help!!

Hi Vaughan,

Check out the website for the Vintage RC Society @ vintagercsociety.org

There are sections on legal models & which sequences we fly.

VRCS limits models to pre 1970. Another option is the Sr Pattern Association for I believe aircraft designed prior to 1976.

Both are good organizations with good newsletters & worth joining if you like the older stuff. Finding competitions may be tougher depending on where you live. SPA heavily favors the Southeast. VRCS has an annual reunion/competition in Muncie at the AMA site; Spring Hill, Florida and at Sayre, Pa.

Email me if I can help.

Thanks, Guys! I have gotten the Pattern requirements, and a meet site near Knoxville. This is something even this old FAR- uh, flier can do! I appreciate the information.
