I was running a 17x10N on my gas 1.60 and it was great untill I overloaded the wrist pin bearings from swinging too big a prop.

Now I run a 16 x 13 and tis ok.

I'd suggest you try the 17x10N as a starter, as the methanol engines have bushings instead of needle bearings.

16x13 APC? Do you have any rpm figures with that prop? I am trying 16x12 APC with 160 MVVS gasser this summer. I was running the engine with 17x10 Menz last summer but it was missing some rpm to hold on pipe torque range. I am also changing carburetor to add some rpm(or maybe not ).

I'll put a tach to it this weekend and let you now.

How are you finding the menz?

Nice props but loading this engine too much and I have to change to APC or Mejzlik for more rpm. Light wooden props are also problematic for getting low idle rpm. I have a wooden menz 16x12 and 16x12 APC in drawer and I will compare these when I get this plane flying again.
