120 NC Mods?
I posted this under the YS Support forum but I'm affraid it might take to long. So I am posting it here in hopes that someone might know.
I have a YS 120NC that runs extremely rich on the low end. I ran it last year but I had to really crank in the regulator in order to get it to idle. I thought I read somewhere that you could drill out the hole in the throttle body a little larger and it cleared up the rich low end. Is this true? If so how big do you enlarge the hole to? Would a 1/16th be in the ball park?

Bigger
Start with a 1/16. Mine is at 3/32 and could go even a bit larger. The regulator is in a bit and I have the perfect motor now (although it is getting old and tired and has just about zero compression when cold, it runs like a top and yanks the CGM Ultimate around like a yo-yo).
Other things to consider.
1. It started to run awesomely after the third or fourth gallon.
2. It thrives on Coolpower 30% heli

I bet I am not far from bottoming out the regulator. It is really in there. I went through it and replaced the diaphram, adjusted the valves and put a new set of leak free gaskets. I put it in my first pattern plane (Finesse 120) with a bolly pipe. I set the regulator screw back out to flush and it is way to rich on the low end. I didnt want to have to crank it in again. I fired it up last night with a APC 15x10. I didnt put a tac on it but man that prop was ripping.

Looked at the local hobby shop today and they didnt have any in stock. I maiden it this weekend with the 15x10 and order a 15x10 or 15x12. I can't go to big because then I will loose ground clearance. We fly off of a grass field.

Here you go Hover King. I am excited. This is my first pattern plane. I picked it up this winter from a guy in my club. The plane is ready to go. Just waiting for some decent weather.
