I admit I'm lazy. A guy has a Jekyl Phd with a YZ140 for sale within driving distance I am thinking about getting since I've been thinking about getting a serious Pattern ship. Does anyone have any experience with this plane/engine combo and how it compares to the rest of the pattern ships out there.

This plane, given that it is setup 1/2 way good, will definately put you in competition for at least sportsman, intermediate, and advanced. However, if you don't practice, don't be surprised if someone with a Kaos or similiar finishes ahead of you.

The plane in question was owned by Chip Hyde, built by his father.

Hey Splais, LTNS. We seem to travel down similar paths, first the majestic, now the PHD's LOLOL. I've got a PHD, that I've gotten a few flights on, and it tracks wonderfully. Mine has a saito 150 on it. It is capable of vertical 8s with that engine, so with a YS it should rock. It doesnt have stock PHD wings though, mine have more taper. The only thing I dont like about it (other than starting the engine) are the retracts. It's not their fault, I just dont like having to adjust them after each flight (rough grass field). I'm contemplating on swapping mine out for fixed gear, unless I sell the plane.
