Many of you know me, and know my respect for all of you guys, so I want to help with something...you guys probably use ailerons more than anyone else I can think of, and there is a situation with native JR 2.4G X9303's... not XP9303...it's being discussed in the Radios forum. I'm only posting here because your pattern airplanes are expensive investments to be carefully guarded.
My "pattern" 100cc Ultimate is just as important... and my X 9303 did have this issue.
Go check, before this post gets deleted by the off-topic mods....

Just checked mine(British issue,mode 2),and it's OK.
The only wire bundle that could possibly chafe on that IC on the back pcb, is prevented from doing so by being routed through a little wire bracket fixed to the rectangular plastic gimbal frame.

Bob, thank you VERY MUCH.
I use Futaba stuff right now, but I used to have a 9303. Nothing is impervious to small but potentially disasterous problems, so it's important to know about stuff like this so you can check and see. If it's fine, you're good. But if it's not, a post like this can save you a lot of grief. I certainly don't read it as anything except a heads up. And IMHO, this is the most important type of useful info these forums have to offer. because otherwise, it's something one lone person isn't likely to discover by himself until it's too late. Who cares about what brand, they all have weak spots somewhere.
So thanks!

Here is a link to JR's Service Bulletin to resolve the issue.

Joe,
Thanks for posting the link to the JR service bulletin. When doing the repair I noticed my black wire did in fact show small evidence of chaffing. Hopefully its fixed now. Once again thanks to all.

I just checked my radio and the insulation was worn through to the wires. It doesn't look like the wires are worn yet, but it will be going back to JR. It was new in March.
