One of the guys in my club is native to Indonesia, now retired. He was explaining to me that the locals compete for jobs in the model facilities which for them is apparently a good living.

That's pretty bad guys...[] Maybe better to leave the politics out of this forum.

Anyway, maybe not good for bringing it up. Let's say I still find it many people don't seem to realise the cost of making an airplane. Try scratch building a plane, it will cost you more then an ARF and lot's more work. Therefore IMHO 280 US$ for a 90-size plane is not bad. Let's hope the people who actually build it get their fair share of that

After building my Venus I thought about how nice it would be to have one that was composite and with a two piece wing and tube. Ok I know we can't have everything but the two piece wing would sure be nice.

Yeah a two piece wing, and access through the canopy! It would be SO nice if you could just set the plane on the ground, on it's gear, and set everything up. I have to bring an extra collapsible stand everywhere I go with the Venus.
