I have ask Detlef Rottmann about the cover sets:
The new textil cover sets ( looks really great and save the model!) are available for all Delro-models; the price for E-Motion or Addiction complete set ( like shown at picture with pants-covers(!!)) is 198.- Euro incl. VAT plus shipping.
It is possible, to add at the covers further original sponsors logos or written words: plus 10 Euro / sticker.
Covers for models outside the Delro production are not available.

Guys, I have been emailing Bruno about these planes and here are some basic answers: (prices are for non European Union Counties)

Kits are $1150 USD and includes balsa - glass sandwich fuse and sheeted foam wing wings - landing gear and wheel pants are included.
The Addiction comes with a clear canopy and the E-Motion has a carbon one.
The Addiction has a blasa - glass sandwich rudder and the E-Motion has a balsa sheeted foam one
Accessories (spinner, tail wheel assy and axles) are additional.

Framed up (prepared) planes are $2450 USD and are set up and ready to cover and paint and includes spinner, tail wheel assy and axles

Ready to fly planes are $3225 and are painted and film covered and includes a set of airplane covers.

Ready to fly but fully painted in Japan models are $4500 USD and includes your own color scheme


I am working with Bruno to see if we can get a couple of these planes to the US shortly to inspect and get in the air quickly so there can be feedback from the states to Delro.

I hope this clears up any questions from people here in the US.

I have an Addiction and an E-Motion (both kits) coming from Delro in Germany. There will be build threads on both of them after they arrive. Latest delivery information was March, but I am trying to see if we can get that moved up...stay tuned.

I am very pleased to announce that Delro in Germany and I have agreed to a business arrangement where I will now be the exclusive distributor in the US for Delro's line of beautiful and high quality F3A airplanes. Along with the 2 kits coming in March, there will be more planes arriving as well either with the original 2 kits or immediately following. The point is, that our plan is to have not only planes but parts too in stock in the US at all times if possible. The Delro electric carbon fiber props will also be in stock as well. Expect some initial promotional pricing to be in effect for pre-orders. More info to come very shortly. I will post as it becomes available.

Delro has been around for a while, and has an excellent reputation for high quality aircraft. I'm sure the F3A community in the US will be pleased to have another quality manufacturer to choose from.

I know there are new planes in the works, glow or electric I'm not sure. I'll check with the factory and see what they have to say. I'll post their answer as soon as I hear.

I got a long answer from Delro (on a Saturday!) and right now they are concentrating on their relationship with Starcraft in Japan and electric designs. Glow models are not ruled out for the future but right now the emphasis seems to be on electric.

2 planes coming in March, then next shipment to the US is due in May. This shipment will have both Addiction and E-Motion kits and the Delro props. The props may be in sooner than May. Working on a web site now with the pricing.

The Delro-US market web page is now up. The regular and introductory pricing is posted there. The page is temporarily being hosted on the electric-f3a web site server and will be moved at some point but this gets things up and running for now for the US customers and will answer many of your questions.

Is the Fully Framed up version of the Addiction set up for a particular motor or is that left up to the builder?

Hi Mike,

You tell them which motor you want to install, and they prepare it for that motor. I know that they can at least prepare the Addiction for the Plettenberg Xtra 30-10 EVO and the Hacker C50 Competition motors, but ask them if you would like to install a different motor.

Mine will be prepared for the Pletti....

Morten is correct. They will set the plane up for your motor. You can email Bruno ([email protected]) and he will have more details for you. I'm not sure if there is a distributor for the UK so you might have to order right from the factory.

Interesting information. My Aeroplane for this year is already decided but depending on how I get on this season I may be looking to change next year. The Addiction is one of a number of possibilites I am considering.
But for the price they are asking for a fuilly framed but unfinished plane it is very tempiting indeed.

congratulation ! Delro = good choise.

I have a lot of Delro aircrafts; F3A or bigger airplanes like MX-2 with DA-85/DA-100 and so one. One of the best quailty you can get and perfect flying. I hardly know any other company spending so much time in development of airplanes. My son will get two ADDICTION with Hacker and FlightPower 5400 batteries in some weeks. Looking forward.

Yes, the 18.5-17.5 and 19.5-17.5 carbon fiber props from Delro will be here in a couple of weeks. Most of the first shipment are sold but there a few left still.
