Joe why can't you make it, I am broke as heck and I'll be sleeping in a tent if I have too (the ad agency business is well, out of business right now LOL
. You can camp right besides me right on site 4. Where I did last time. I could help show you the ropes down there. Dude, you just need gas money to get there and your entry fee, people are there that will feed us LOL

Bummer about the NAT's. Oh well, there's always next year. Take your time and practice the 402 schedule this year. Believe me, no matter how well you prepare for the NAT's, it's never enough. An extra year of practice will make life much easier for you.

Yeah - Jon and I are lucky to still have our planes after that wind / rain storm came in during practice last year. It went from "gray and gusty" to "holy sh#t - run for cover!" in about 3 minutes. Unfortunately Jon and I were both in the air at the time! If I had staid up for even 30 seconds more, I would have lost the plane. I barely got it into the van before the hail started and my canopy tent took off. Come to think of it, EVERY time I've been to the NAT's I've lost a canopy tent...
Important safety tip: DON'T bring a good canopy tent to the NAT's!

yeah you really need a canopy like mine and Wingo's...and even then it can blow hard enough to tear it to pieces. EZ up canopies have a 80% death rate at Muncie.
The crazy part is we FLY in that crap!!! nobody wants to be the first guy to wuss out....LOL
