I recently inherited this plane, and it looks like it could be a pattern plane, but I don't know anything about pattern flying.
Can anyone identify what it is? Do you think it's rebuildable?
Thanks!
(This is my first time posting a picture... hopefully it works...)

I am not sure what airplane that is, but it does look like a fairly good flying pattern ship. I am not sure though. I think if you are an experienced builder, it could be rebuilt.

That's a Great Planes Tracer.
As far as if it's reabuildable it's hard to say withou having it in front of me. But it's amazing what some ingenuity and some fiberglass reinforcment can do.

yeah, I figure it can be rebuilt without too many problems....
I pieced together the nose (yeah-its ugly) so I can have an idea of how it was constructed.... It looks pretty basic.... just a layer of ply and some balsa...the cowl needs to either be replaced or somehow fused back together. (it split along the seams).
I guess that's the main reason I'm trying to identify the plane- so I can get a new cowl, and possibly some original plans...
