Hello,
I'm a beginner in pattern flying. This year, I fly a Galaxy (very old design just before the well-known Curare) in the sportsman category.
I don't want to have the same plane that the other guys and the idea is to perform the construction myself. The Voodoo express seems to be a very interesting pattern plane even if it is not really present in the fields.
A few "old" threads are dedicated to this plane in this forum. Is it possible to obtain more informations about the plane? I have already the plan of http://www.insightrc.com/

I see you have the link to Insightrc. Richard Lewis's VooDoo Express 2 is based directly from the original VooDoo Express. Richard did a magnificent job incorporating some changes to make it repeatable. Nat's VooDoo Express was scratch built by himself. I think you would be very happy with the VooDoo Express 2.
If there is anything I can help you with let me know.

I have a Voodoo Express underway, covering going on now. Plans, and foam parts available from Mark Hunt at Insight RC. Mine will be electric with E-Flight Power 110 and 8S battery.

Don't know yet. I flew it two flights and had motor or ESC issues and it wasn't producing power to fly any vertical maneuvers. I don't know if it was a bad motor, ESC settings or what. Straight and level trim was good and it didn't seem to have any significant coupling issues. I got busy with other stuff and haven't looked into why the power wasn't there. Now that the pattern season is over I plan to get it going again. Pictures of the completed plane.
