Default PL Excellence

I recently received an almost new in box PL Excellence. There is almost 7 inches of tube (3/4") inserted into the wing. I know Tony Stillman had problems with his first one a few years ago and I'm wondering if this is enough length for both wings. I'm not sure and I thought I would pose the question here. I'm going to email Tony as well.

Thanks

Greg Grigsby

Default RE: PL Excellence

If it's the stock tube, it should be fine.

I've got two- one kit and one that's flying. The one that's flying is the 3D version and I've not seen any evidence of abnormal wear with it, and I'm the third owner, and the airplane is nine or so years old. PL normally has a shorter, larger diameter tube. Just make sure your tube passes through the sub rib and you'll be fine.
