I just wanted to thank Jon Martin and the Ramms club for hosting such a great contest. The WEATHER was great, The FOOD was even better and the HOSPITALITY was great. If you ever have the opportunity to go to a contest mark this one on your calendar and enjoy it. A few more pix to enjoy:

OK, I see the picture of the presenter of the Ray Rhodes trophy, but do we have any pictures of Buddy with it? For those outside of District 6, Jim Thompson and his wife began sponsoring the Ray Rhodes Memorial trophy a few years ago to honor the individual each year in District 6 who, in the eyes of the contest directors, has made the biggest impact on growing pattern in District 6. This year's recipient was Buddy Brammer, a well-deserved honor in my opinion. Buddy is just one of those all-around great guys, willing to help anyone, who really represents pattern well.

Ok here are a few more pictures of the evening that the Ray Rhodes trophy was given to Buddy Brammer by Jim Thompson. Notice how Jim looks when he gets all dressed up, He actually has a glow to him. Must be th L...Star.

Buddy Brammer, engine whisperer... Here's one of the photos I got at the contest, couldn't resist this photo op. Father and son Max and Todd Blose flying at the same time.

Buddy once loaned me a YS engine (no questions asked), then promptly did a complete rebuild on mine while I was flying the 2nd round (new gaskets/ring/o-rings/head gastket). By the 3rd round my engine was back in my airplane running like new. He refused to take a penny for the parts/help and time. He is the kind of guy that makes you want to pay it forward.
Thanks again Buddy!
