I did not want to mess up any of the nice build threads on the Xigris but wanted to post info on the Xigris and answer some questions that were pm'd to me.
The first shipment to the US was picked up on 12/17 and are sold out. Someone asked for a comparison between the Delro E-Motion and Xigris and Axial fuses so here is it. E-Motion on the bottom, Xigris in the center, and Axial on top.
Also, here are the C1 (top) and C2 wings butt to butt for comparison.

Got a question Chris... It appears the holes for the wing and stab have been cut out already, is that how they come? Isaacs on the other thread had tape marking the locations of the holes on his C2. On another thread I thought somebody said they had to figure the location of the holes and cut them themselves. Just curious/confused...
Guess I'll know next week for sure won't I?

The fuses now come with the holes cut out. The wings also have the root ribs installed. This is different from some of the earlier kits.
The fuses weigh 28.5oz with the canopy and chin cowl included. Wing panels on the C1 were around 8.8oz and needed aileron capping and leading edges and tips installed. I think Najary's thread has more complete Xigris weights. I only took a couple of weight measurements as I needed these inspected and back out the door to arrive before Christmas.

My original kits did not have anything for stab position, just a faint scribe line on one side of the fuse, so I pretty much guessed where the stab should go
JP did the wing tube holes for me on those kits and it was so much faster. Nice to see that he is cutting all the holes, that will really speed up the alignment and make it much simpler to get correct.

Nice to see that he is cutting all the holes, that will really speed up the alignment and make it much simpler to get correct.

If the root ribs are installed, are there provisions for wing attachments installed as well? Nylon screws poking out or blocks to thread into? Or are the root ribs mearly fitted?
Wednesday delivery is perfect, a lot of work left to get the shop ready for the arrival...

Chris, is the TE on the C2 straight? Other pics on the ZN site make it look more swept.
Also, are the wing areas the same for the C1 ans C2...maybe you can measure the root, tip and span?

I won't be back in town until Tues but I will take another pic of the C2 wing sweep with a wing tube. I don't have a C1 left to take a pic but maybe one of the people ho will be getting theirs in a few days will post a pic. The C2 wings definitely are smaller (area) than the C1.

FedEx is showing Tuesday delivery so unless the east coast storm held them up I should

Yes, the fuse sides probably arent parallel so the wings will be swept more that how they look in Chris' photo. How about the areas...are they the same?

As promised here's my C1 wings with the wing tube orienting them as though they were on the plane
to show the planform.
As far as wing area I "swagged" what would be added to the wing dimensions when the wing tip and leading
and trailing edges are included. I made no attempt to include any effective fuse area.
I came up with 451 square inches per panel.
The weight was 8.5 oz each panel.
I am very impressed with the quality...especially the fuselage. In my brief pattern career this time
around it's the nicest pattern plane I have personally seen.
Now all I have to do is build it!

I just arrived home from work and my C1 was waiting for me in the hallway. After a brief look before dinner, I'm a happy camper. I'll do some weighing later on with a closer inspection, but it all looks real good!

The Axiome reduced wing area by T-can size, and increased stab area (and fin) from previous experience with the Osmose...which later became the Evo with an increased fin. I don't think it hurt CPLR too much
I specifically asked him this, as I had about a 1/2 hour talk with him and noticed how big the stab was and said...."doesn't that make it hard to snap", simple response was more or less....yes, but every design is a compromise. Maybe you will see him move back to a smaller stab for the 11 sequences to help with all the snaps.

Just an update on my Xigris C2. There are a number of build threads floating around so I won't go into detail, those guys do a MUCH better job than I could for sure! The plane is coming along nicely, I have about two weeks into the project. Wings are done except for beveling and finish sanding, as are the stabs and rudder. Fuse has the wings and stab aligned and installed, the motor is partially installed.
I am using the Neu F3A with a Budd soft mount. Because of the configuration of the the motor mounting, I had to fabricate a firewall for the mount to attach to about 7/8" behind the nose ring. I was annoyed to discover this, but i really didn't take to long to come up with. The motor is sitting in the nose without glue, I still have a few things to figure out.
Not sure how the weight is going to go, I am trying to build it very light. The wings finished each way 9.6 ounces less covering, servo, and linkage.
Below are pictures with the plane and the finished surfaces installed... the T-can is taped in place. The video posted by JP will help, but I'm not looking forward to the installation of the T-can at all. I provided pics of the plane with and without the T-can in place... I actually favor the picture without it! Or maybe that's laziness? lol
The fit and finish of the canopy and chin cowls are very impressive. The quality of the wood is mostly good, with only one or two balsa pieces being inconsistant. I have always wanted to build a ZN Line kit and this one has not disappointed me. I had hope dto have it ready for finishing at the end of Feb. It's looking like I'll beat that.
