Default Hanno Prettner's Mystic info wanted

Looking for any pictures or info on Hanno Prettner's Mystic F3A planes. Both 1.20 and .60 versions.

I've built a Calypso and a Supra Fly .25, I've bought the Kyosho Sensation 40 too, and my Dad has a Röga model Dalotel 40 ARC still untouched in the box. Might say I'm kinda on a roll here

Still the Mystic is indeed very mystic. Few, if any pictures are available on the net, and three-views are none existent. If anyone can manage to dig up any, and I mean ANY info on the plane (with which he placed 5th in Australia '91 and first in Austria '93) you will be rewarded with my eternal gratitude.

Thanks!

Hi John,
I thought EZ kitted the Mystic (both the 1.20 and a smaller .30 sized version). Try the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) website. They have all the Model Aviation magazines archived online. I'm pretty sure there were 1 or 2 photos from both WCs. Just look for issues about 4-6 months after the WC was over.
Good Luck,
Will B.
PS The Curare was a great pattern ship, too!!

Hi Jon
The Mystic 120 was one of a kind, it was never put into production.

Goodie! Many thanks. No rush though, I'm having a few days off work now to compete at the nationals! Currently in second place after two flights, beginner class!

Its a little less than I thought it would be (a couple of lines on how he designed it), but its a nice set of articles, so I copied the whole lot. Anyone else want a copy of it, just give me your fax no and I'll send it. Theres about 9 pages on his modelling life, and I enjoyed it alot.

I have an EZ Mystic 30 ARF that I got used, and built. However, I'm missing the manual and wondering where the balance point is. I figured 33% of the cord at the root and tips, then averaged the two. Using this figure, it's nose heavy with just a Webra 32 2C in the nose. It also seems heavy for it's size, at 4.4 lbs using a standard radio gear. I'm using mini's and micro's to get the wieght under 4lbs.

Anyone have any documentation or reviews on this plane?

Thanks, Greg Email: [email protected][:-]

You still want this? I've been flying a Mystic 30/50 plane from OK Models for about five years. It flies great. I have the original plans....
