Default OXAI Zeque 55cc. Where is F3A going ?

Oxai announced a ZEQUE designed arround the O.S. 55cc. gas engine. What for ? You can´t use it as a second plane because is totally out of "ACTUAL" F3A rules. Prectice plane ? I think that an airframe of U$S 4K + just for fuel earnings, better get a 110 size airframe (gas vs. nitro). I just don´t get it. May be is "showing" us way where the F3A wanted to go?

Brian, I know it´s not for F3A. My question is why (obviously because they want to do it) made a Pattern plane with those specifications.

Probably a 50 cc pattern style plane for IMAC, Onda flew something similar at a IMAC contest in Japan recently.

Curare built by a pair of bush hicks in 1992 (18 years ago). Power is a Zenoah G62, span is 100"

Rebuilt with what I know today with a DA50/75R, retracts, digital servos and it would be a hoot to fly.

A 4M F3A ship has always been my dream plane (must have retracts) and a DA170 would bring it to life.

I don't know if the japanese have their own class for giant scale areobatics, but IMAC requires a scale model. (A certain amount of deviation from true scale is allowed.) This requirement does not apply to the Basic class, but they would not develop a Basic-specific model.

Well.......After I saw this "big Zeque" I though they are crazy?????It totally offend the rule of F-3A,
So I mail my friend Suzuki who is designer of Zeque,
He tell me that OXAI will host a competition in the end of this year.
The flying of this competition will combine both 3D and pattern,But they don't want use scale one like EXTRA YAK.......They want use "big pattern "
So Oxai suggest Suzuki design "big Zeque" for them

The plane is small for the weight reported. The OS55G is much too heavy for the output. There are better choices in small gassers
It will not fly like a modern pattern plane in terms of lightness and nimbleness if they built the prototype as indicated in the specs

Yes, but Suzuki is one of the most important OS pilots, he will not put a DA or 3W in it.

Yeah, I know!!
Point is the specs call out a model that is barely over 2 meters with an 8 kilo plus weight. It will fly like an IMAC pig from 10 years ago
