The RCCD contest is Sept.11th and 12th.
Also when you are in town try Prop Shop Hobbies in Warren a really well stocked hobby store.
The field is a little north of Detroit
Flyer can be found at RCCD.org.
This is the last contest before the district championships.
For the combat foamy builders that Atwood is trying to talk into building for Kentucky he will be here to give last minute tips. And hopefully he can get my foamy to fly.

Alexander, Brenner and Gaishin are there also. Looks like a good contingent from the local club. Verne and Mrs. Kanes husband also. Possibly Brad fom Canada and Anthony, Not sure about the rest. Should be a good contest. We had 7 practicing yesterday of the regulars. Supposed to be 3 or 4 of the club members also.

18 people today
zero FAI
five Masters
three Advanced
three Intermediate
seven Sportsman
Including a traveler for his first contest from Grand Rapids, Another traveler from the Cleveland area, One regular Sportsman pilot. Another one for his second contest. And the rest if i remember correctly are local flyers.
Some tricky wind conditions. But zero busted up airplanes, Rain did put a halt today to the precedings After four rounds in Sportsman and two rounds for the rest of the classes

Sorry about that. I stand corrected. I had the first two letters correct.
Now all we need is a caravan to Kentucky this weekend. Straight down I-75 into Kentucky. couple miles into Kentucky take I-275 west to exit 8 That is the Hebron exit.
For more detailed instructions see the Flying Cardinals website. Or PM me and i will give detailed instructions. Also there is a D4 District Championships thread here that will have the links.

Hey this is Anthony. Like to thank you all for making my first contest memorable. Good thing both days were bumpy enough to hide my shaking thumbs! Big thanks to Dennis while calling for me for congratulating me on my first 0 and for telling me to "Get your $H1* together" after I nearly crashed my model. I figure the scores on that landing were actually the scores for the save I made. I had 10 flights on it before the contest and was still figuring out my landing envelopes!
Great group of guys and a great club. Thanks Noel for posting the photos.
Hope you all have fun in KY, good luck, AND I will see you next season!!! When's the first contest?

First one of the year is normally Kentucky in May. No guarantees on this date.
I had fun calling for you. Kentucky is going to be a riot this weekend, And your wife already gave you permission!!!>>>>Should be 30 or so pilots.
Plus the bat combat contest Saturday after the sun gets in the box and then the Night fly Obviously when it gets dark,
You are doing way better then i was when i first started flying. I would have never made it through the sequence after 3 months of soloing. Much less going to a field you had never seen and with no practice. You completed all 6 rounds and probably improved a little from Round 1 to round 6
You'll be a terror next year. probably win every contest

It is really good to here more new folks getting on board! This is my 3rd year in pattern and my son's 4th. There are so many good folks in this sport. All will do anything they can to give you a leg up. OUtside of some rough spots equipment wise (hopefully solved for a while) The experience has been an enjoyable one.
We will be in Hebron this weekend, Michael and I, but have to leave Cathie home to cover some family issues. She is really disappointed she won't be there but insists we go be with the other family, The Pattern One...
Looking forward to welcoming some new folks!
