Default Wood Props

Where can I buy quality wood: 14X8 - 14X10 ........... 15X8 - 15X10, wood prop's. I found 15X10 - Xoar's, no 14X8 or 14X10.

Thanks,

Vince

Try Don's Hobby Shop.

Vince, I assume these are for your new/old YS 110??

FYI, I tested a whole clutch of props when trying to find the right one for my SAP 180 and found that the Xoar wood props were not nearly as efficient as equivalent diameter and pitch APC props. APC can do a lot more tweaking of airfoils with their molds than can be achieved with wood.

It will be interesting to see what you notice with the smaller woodies.

I FlyRC - Thanks, I checked it out. Looking more for laminated wood. Bob - You are right, the new/old YS 110S. Getting it back in shape right now, it has sat for over 6 month's, from last contest. Still in the Focus Sport. I have been waiting on the new YS115, now the delivery date is December, heard they are going to fill the Japan market first. December can turn in to March. I found a NIB - 110S, same as the one I have now, for the another Focus Sport. Piedmont had some ARC's left, so I was able to get that, and a covered set of wing, stab panel's, rudder, fin and painted canopy, save me some time.

I have been using the 14X8 APC's, the wood thing, more for just little experimenting. Are you guy's using one of the RCAT's or Glo-Bee glow lighter's ? I ordered one from Radio South last week, msg back they were waiting for a shipment. I thought they were made in the USA ?

The SAP is a gasser, but when I do fly glow I use the RCATS. Excellent unit, however the twist-on plug fitting from Radio South is MUCH better than the one that is supplied with the RCATS. Solder that one onto the RCATS cord and you have the best glow driver on the planet.

Vince,
Take a look at the Top Flite Powerpoint props. The 15/8 gave respectable performance on my Focus running on the OS 120.
