prop for tai-ji 60

Which prop do you recommend for tai-ji 60?
The engine will be MVVS 91, probably with long tune-pipe.

RE: prop for tai-ji 60

I would try a 14-8 pattern prop and then go from there

RE: prop for tai-ji 60

The MVVS engines have a lot of low end grunt and will pull a lot of prop. Ran
a 13x10 pattern APC with a MVVS .77 so the .91 will probably pull a 14x10
at least.

If you use the MVVS tuned pipe for the .91:

APC 15x10 @ 8200 rpm

APC 15x11 @ 8000 rpm

Scoubi,

Utilizing a "known" value (prop load & rpm) for an engine rpm and prop combo, you can use ThurstHp to evaluate different prop sizes by adjusting the RPM until the HP equals the Prop being compared. - see example
