Budd Engineering Soft Mount

Just noticed on Radio South's website this very nice appearing mount for many typical pattern engines. At $59.95 , it's half what I'd pay for a Hyde mount ; although they do recommend a nose ring for most applications. Curious if anyone out there is using one with an OS160 ; with or without a nose ring.

Frank, mine got here last week, and I'll be installing it shortly on my Icepoint with the OS 1.60. Already have the nose ring in there, and a Hyde mount, so I should get a good comparison. So far, I like what I see!!

Frank,

I have one that I'm installing in a pattern plane with OS 1.40 RX. It is a very nice well made mount, but you MUST use a nose ring. It is not designed to be used without a nose ring.

This mount has been tested by a number of pilots for the past year or two and reports are very good.

Good Luck,

Ken B.

Hi Ken,

Dave E-mailed me today--said the mount was correct.

What plane are installing the Budd mount in?
